OIT Student Ambassadors advocate for the Office of Information Technology's initiatives and provide top-quality technology support that keeps the university running.
The mission of the Student Ambassador program, though, isn't just about how students help us– it's also about how we can help students gain the skills they need through experiential learning. And, yes, being an OIT Student Ambassador is a paid position.
How to Apply
All open Student Ambassador positions will be posted in Hilltop Careers. Search on-campus jobs for "Office of Information Technology" and follow the instructions in the posting that interests you.
How We Help You Grow
We aim to foster professional development, experiential learning and personal growth while OIT Student Ambassadors serve the university. Throughout the program, Ambassadors will be able to take advantage of the following opportunities:
- Professional certifications (paid for by OIT) such as Adobe Creative Cloud Certifications, Google Certifications, Tableau Certification, Project Management Certification and more!
- On-the-job training for programs like Salesforce, Extron, Smartsheet, etc.
- Mentorship opportunities with industry professionals
- Access to special events on campus and in Austin, such as SXSW, conferences, and other Austin community partners.
